The mountain panorama takes your breath away, the sun shines all year long, and from December to April, low pressure areas over the Adriatic Sea bring powder snow that is often several metres deep.

Our hotel is located at 1,500 metres above sea level and boasts an incredibly beautiful vista. From your window you will have a view of the surrounding mountains, which reach a height of 2,500 metres. But when you stay with us, you will experience more than just mountains. Carinthia is the land of lakes: you will find Austria's warmest lakes here, in the south. The Pressegger See lido, the Weissbriach adventure pool and the lovely “southern fjord” Weissensee lake are within easy reach.

This mix of mountain, pool, and lake is something very special. Put your feet in the warm water and discover the endless sandy beaches on the Adriatic Sea –a mere 90-minute drive away.

The Nassfeld with its location at 1,500 m above sea-level guarantees both snowy and sunny winter holidays. It is one of Austria’s top ski areas and you will love the 100 kilometres of well-kept slopes and 30 modern cable-cars and lifts. Gartnerkofel hotel is located right on the slope, which means you simply put on your skis and take off.

This is what we call a summer holiday! Just step outside the house – and you are in the mountains. All lifts are at the hotel’s doorstep, alpine pastures and peaks are within easy reach. We offer guided hiking tours and many other leisure activities every day.
